You're No Prince Charming

The Prince is officially a tween!

If 12 is the in-between, then I'd like to skip it. It's as though this age is the slow transition period between loving, talkative, gracious and respectful kid to anti-social, selective hearing, rude, and perpetually scowling kid.

Prince enters bouts of both worlds. Which way that goes depends on which way the wind blows. One day he is giddy, laughing at everything, and engaging. Another day he is a recluse, hidden by heaps of clothing on his bed that never made it from the dryer into drawers.

I can't be alone in this. But no other parent friends of mine care to admit that their boy won't let water touch his body in a span of a week.
